Is it fig season yet?

While I don’t care for the black mission figs we all recognize as the signature taste of fig newtons, I adore brown turkey figs – and the great name 🙂

Not only are they great raw for green smoothies and berry smoothies, they also make a great raw spread over toast with chevré.
